The Federal Public Autonomous Agency of Supplementary Professional Education "The Centre for Education and Methodics of the Federal Antimonopoly Service" (City of Kazan) created in accordance with the order of the Government of the Russian Federation, by agreement of the FAS of Russia and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan. The opening ceremony of the Training and Methodological Center with the participation of the Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia Igor Artemyev and the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took place on September 12, 2012 as part of the Competition Day in Russia and the Expanded Meeting of the Board of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia.

The purpose of the Training and Methodological Center of the FAS Russia: to ensure advanced training and professional retraining of specialists of the FAS Russia and its territorial departments, state civil servants of other authorities and employees of competitive departments of the CIS countries, the development of scientific and applied research and projects on modern problems of competitive regulation, initiating their discussion in the scientific environment.

Areas of activity

• Advanced training and professional retraining.
• Organization and holding of federal events on topical issues of competitive regulation, thematic seminars for representatives of business structures in the areas of antimonopoly regulation.
• Development of recommendations on improving the system of protection of competition in the CIS member states, consulting specialists of the state and municipal authorities of the Russian Federation and representatives of the business community on antimonopoly legislation.
• Disseminating international best practices in the field of antimonopoly regulation, organizing and conducting joint research, conferences, seminars, programs and projects with foreign competitive departments.

Educational, methodological and personnel support of antimonopoly bodies and other interested structural divisions of the executive branch and economic entities of the CIS member states in the main areas of the competitive policy of the Commonwealth members.
